Claudette received a
Bachelor’s degree in
Sociology with a minor
in Early Childhood
Education and Masters in
Special
Education (Learning
Disabilities) from
California State
University Dominguez
Hills. She received her
Administrative
Credential in
Educational Management
from San Francisco State
University. Being one of
six children in a very
poor family in the
south, she completed her
BA seventeen years after
completing high school.
(She has a story to
tell.) She had a vision
of becoming a teacher
and nothing was to stop
her. She has a diverse
background with over 40
years experience in
education, conflict
resolution, violence
prevention and human
relations. She has
worked with public
sector organizations
including numerous
school districts across
the U.S., presenting
seminars in Building
Self-Esteem in children,
Positive Classroom
Management which helps
children to feel safe,
valued, visible,
empowered and
responsible. Her
greatest success as a
teacher was helping at
risk students see the
need to strive for
excellence. Claudette
was a teacher and
administrator for 25
years.
She is also a member of the
Community Assistance Team where
she counsels Long Beach
residents who have experienced
Hate Crimes. Her passion is
helping each person learn to
teach children and young people
the value of living a life that
builds strong, respectful,
success citizens for now and the
future. She is gifted with a
message that reaches a diverse
audience (youth and adults) in a
special way that moves them to
take action in creating better
lives for themselves. She is
respected as a very
inspirational and motivational
speaker that is vision driven to
make the world a better place by
reaching the hearts of
individuals. Claudette believes
if a person’s heart is changed,
his/her behavior will follow.
