Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative goal-oriented style of counseling with particular attention to the language of change, designed to strengthen personal motivation and commitment to a specific goal by eliciting and exploring a person’s own reasons for change within an atmosphere of compassion and acceptance.

Aneisa has over 10 years’ experience training and coaching Motivational Interviewing for probation officers, case managers and counselors. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), which is the international certifying body of Motivational Interviewing trainers. She provides Motivational Interviewing coaching using the MITI Coding system of evaluation of MI. She has a network of trainers that can provide Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced MI training.
